Presentation of the Institut MERMOZ
The Institut MERMOZ was founded on April 24, 1957 by Mr. André Ramondo, companion of Jean MERMOZ, former chief pilot of the national airline Air France.
Since its creation, the Institut MERMOZ has provided theoretical training for civil aviation aircrew by offering a collection of course books, distance learning courses and full-time courses.
With the implementation of the new European rules and thanks to the skills acquired in previous years, the MERMOZ Institute was one of the first theoretical schools to obtain the ATO and CCA approvals issued by the French Civil Aviation Authority (DGAC).
To date, more than 45,000 pilots have been trained by the Institut MERMOZ in full-time courses or distance learning.
